From the trenches

Letter to The Trenches

This post marks the first installment of a new quarterly series from the trenches. We just got back from Sui Basecamp, where we gave a glimpse of what we're working on. Settle in, there's a lot to cover.

The Trenches Today

Retail doesn't trust memes on Sui, and memes don't trust each other. Pre-mines, pulled liquidity, devs who go quiet the week after launch, clones that copy a name to catch a mistake. Every rug teaches a new buyer to leave and not come back. Until that changes, nobody hands memes their money, their time or their attention.

What We're Building

A meme you can trust without trusting anyone. Liquidity that can't be pulled. A supply nobody can mint more of. Proof on chain, not promises in a tweet. The Ones, where every mint adds liquidity that can never be withdrawn. A bridge that took $ONE to Robinhood Chain. Collabs with other Sui communities instead of farming them.

Why Us

We are the one that got rugged. 715 wallets lost 4,767 SUI in the presale. The community took it over, made 558 wallets whole, got the rugger's liquidity back and locked it for good. The mint authority is locked, the dev supply is 0%, and every claim can be checked on chain. Nobody knows the trenches better than the people who got rugged in them.

How We Get There

We're setting up a dedicated meme business unit within the trenches, which I'll lead as CTO Lead. To give it full time and bandwidth, the community steps into the CEO role. There is no team and no company. A meme the community owns can't be rugged by its founder.

Thanks for reading. For us, it's back to building. We'll see you next quarter.
